October 12, 2020

On a beautiful, still-summery September day, Ashley and Jason said their “I dos” in front of their closest family and friends in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. While they initially bonded over their love of theater and performing, this couple found their ideal roles as husband and wife… too corny?! Sorry, we had to.

To start the day, Ashley and the girls gathered at About Faces to get their hair and makeup done. There, the girls spent a leisurely morning while the staff completed all of their beautiful looks. Meanwhile, Jason and his groomsmen met at the Green Turtle Annapolis for a pre-celebration lunch. Both groups spent the day laughing and enjoying one another’s company – there wasn’t a nerve in sight!

Once the full bridal party was ready, everyone traveled to the ceremony and reception location – Blackwall Barn & Lodge in Gambrills. There, Willow & Birch Photography captured lots of gorgeous photos of the two groups. However, this couple decided to skip the first look in favor of a traditional first sighting on the aisle in front of their family and friends.

As wedding time approached, guests found their seats outdoors, and Two Rivers Chamber Music provided the soundtrack for a gorgeous celebration. A close friend of the couple – Andrea Wildason – officiated the ceremony and was able to perfectly personalize the ceremony. Flowers from Great Expectations helped to perfectly set the scene. As the sun set over their guests, Ashley and Jason said their “I dos” and were officially pronounced husband and wife.

Afterwards, guests were invited to a cocktail hour on the side patio with tons of delicious appetizers and cocktails courtesy of the Blackwall Barn & Lodge. And once the couple finished all their photos, everyone moved to the reception space for the couple’s first introduction as a married couple. DJ Chris Temple of C&J Entertainment perfectly set the mood from the couple’s first dance through to the end of the evening.

After the dances, a family-style dinner, and the cutting of a beautiful cake made by the bride’s cousin – Angelina Jackson – the party officially began. The dance floor was packed, and the party didn’t end until it was time for the couple’s glow stick exit.

From start to finish, Ashley and Jason’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration of their incredible relationship. We are so appreciative of this duo for allowing us to be a part of their special day, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!

Special thanks to Willow & Birch Photography for all the gorgeous images!
