Friday, September 10, 2021 was one of those perfectly beautiful end-of-summer days. Which was so appropriate for Nicole + Michael’s perfectly beautiful wedding celebration. With a dreamy outdoor ceremony, gorgeous florals and details, excited family members and friends, and an incredibly loving couple, this wedding was all we could have asked for and more.
The bride and her bridesmaids gathered in Nicole’s room at The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club (which was also the wedding venue for the day) with the team from Brushed Beauty to begin wedding day preparations. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves as their hair and makeup was beautifully done and Paige Victoria Photography snapped some pre-wedding photos. Once Nicole was ready, she snuck away to put on her wedding dress and then shared a special first look with her bridesmaids – whose reactions did not disappoint.
Meanwhile, once Michael and the guys were dressed and ready, the team from Fantastic Flowers arrived to personally pin on their boutonnières. Once the guys captured some photos themselves, the groom was whisked away for a sweet first look of his own with his bride-to-be. From there, Paige Victoria Photography captured lots of beautiful shots of the couple, the wedding party, and their families.
As wedding days tend to do, time sped past, and before anyone knew it, it was showtime. Annapolis Transportation Solutions provided a shuttle to the ceremony location, and everyone headed to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club where DJ K-Rock provided the wedding soundtrack and Fantastic Flowers had beautifully staged their florals. The ceremony featured an amazing array of music – with everything from the Jurassic Park theme song to more traditional wedding songs – all of which was all chosen by the couple as a reflection of their time together.
After saying their “I dos,” officiant Rachael Zajac, of Ceremony by Rachael, pronounced Nicole + Michael as husband and wife. From there, they took extended family photos and some beautiful sunset shots while guests were treated to a cocktail hour on the rooftop of the venue where delicious appetizers and drinks were served.
From there, everyone headed over to the reception space where the couple was officially announced by DJ K-Rock as Mr. & Mrs. Michael + Nicole Nasteff for the first time, and they danced in to the cheers of their guests. They then went straight into their first dance as a married couple to “Hard to Concentrate” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Following a welcome speech by the mother of the bride and some great toasts, an amazing buffet dinner was served. With a mother/son dance and the cutting of their beautiful cake from SugarBakers Cakes to follow dinner, the rest of the evening was spent dancing (with some late night snacking mixed in for good measure) and photo booth fun provided courtesy of Chesapeake Photobooth.
As they always do, this beautiful day was over before we knew it and this great couple was departing to start their new life together as husband and wife. We were honored to be a part of this special celebration and can’t wait to hear about Nicole + Michael’s exciting future together!
