August 10, 2022

A gorgeous winter day, a military wedding, and a beautiful couple. What more could a wedding planner ask for in one day’s work?! Luckily, with Peightyn + Richard’s big day on Saturday, January 22, 2022 that’s exactly what we got.

Peightyn and her girls spent the morning hanging out in her room at the Graduate Annapolis Hotel. In their matching pjs, the girls got their hair and makeup done by the team from Infinity Artistry. And while they were prepping for the day to come, the teams from Hamilton Photography and Rivion Wedding Films arrived onsite to capture lots of gorgeous photos and videos, respectively. Meanwhile, Richard and the guys also gathered to dress for the occasion and shared lots of laughs while doing so.

Once the wedding party was fully suited up and tons of photos and videos were shot, the girls and guys were separately shuttled by Towne Transport to the Naval Academy Chapel as the ceremony countdown began. The guests also grabbed shuttles and found their spots in the breathtaking chapel under the beautiful stained-glass windows. The gorgeous bouquets that the girls carried down the aisle helped to complete the scene thanks to Fantastic Flowers.

Peightyn + Richard shared their first sighting of the day on the aisle in front of all of their family and friends as they had opted not to do a first look. This along with lots of other personalized details made for a very special ceremony in a beautiful setting.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds were proclaimed husband and wife and exited through the traditional military sword arch. This, of course, proceeded another round of amazing photos of the wedding party and both families, before the couple hopped on a trolley to hit a few destinations around Annapolis for additional photos.

Meanwhile, guests headed over to the Annapolis Maritime Museum and enjoyed delicious cocktails and appetizers served by Palate Pleasers Catering. Mixing Maryland‘s DJ Kyle Moore provided the soundtrack for the evening.

Once the wedding party arrived to the museum and the guests were seated for dinner, the wedding party was announced. Then, after they were introduced as Mr. + Mrs. Zirkle for the very first time, the couple shared their first dance to “You Are the Reason” by Calum Scott.

From there, the night moved quickly. From a welcome by the father of the bride, to a delicious dinner courtesy of Palate Pleasers Catering, to toasts, and on to parent dances, it seemed like the evening was in fast forward as everyone enjoyed the occasion. Also, in a play on tradition, instead of tossing her bouquet, Peightyn passed the bouquet to a special bridesmaid and her fiancé as they begin their own wedding journey.

Finally, after cutting their cake (also provided by Palate Pleasers Catering) and dancing the night away, this beautiful day came to a close. From start to finish, it was incredible, and we were so honored to share this day with a great couple and their two families.
